At Central Family Practice, we pride ourselves on the delivery of friendly, professional customer service. Please find below a comprehensive list of medical services available at our practice.

Central Brunswick Family Practice is a fully accredited practice, with disabled access and dedicated parking. On your initial visit to the practice, we will ask you to complete a registration form prior to your consultation with the doctor.

To ensure optimal patient care, we request that you inform us of your cultural background. In addition, any changes to your personal information on subsequent visits to us such as change of contact number, Medicare details or emergency contact, please bring this to the attention of our reception team. Please always bring your Medicare card along to your appointment.

Appointments
If you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact us on (07) 3852 2733 or you can make a quick and easy appointment through our website, just click on the make an appointment tab at the top of the screen.?Most of our standard appointments last for 10-15 minutes, if you think you need more time with one of our doctors please advise reception staff of this. You can learn more about what qualifies as a long appointment by clicking here.?Where possible, we will always try to ensure that we can find a suitable appointment time with your preferred doctor. Please be aware that emergencies will be given priority, if this situation should occur when you are scheduled to attend the practice, our staff will ensure every effort is made to contact you.

Fees and Billing
We offer a mixed billing service to our patients, if you are eligible for a Medicare rebate we have Medicare Online claiming available at the practice.

*Discount rates apply to overseas residents studying in Australia on presentation of their student ID. We Bulk Bill children under 16 years of Age, students and aged pension card holders and DVA card holders** **Bulk billing eligibility provided by Central Family Practice may not extend to additional tests such as radiology, pathology etc. To find out the costs of any referral from your GP, you should liaise directly with the referring partner.

We operate based on standard consultations and long consultations and to help you, we have listed what constitutes standard and long appointments, so you can tell our friendly team when booking how long you will need with our doctors.

Standard Consultations Include:
  • Urine infection, Thrush, Morning after pill
  • Breast check
  • Rash, Skin infections
  • Upper respiratory tract infections, Asthma exacerbation
